A little about me...

I can totally relate to many trials and tribulations in life after working in education, in a varitety of roles, for well over a decade, and having 3 children of my own. I've gained an in-depth knowledge of the struggles and difficulties of which both adults and children can face. I never underestimate anyone's journey, and I actually class myself as being Neurodivergent. I have a diagnosis of ADHD, Asperger's and Dyslexia. Which I feel is what enables me relate to students and families I work with.

With over 16 years of educational experience, mostly in Special Educational Needs I have been lucky enough to have gained experience in both Local Authority and all types of school settings such as Mainstream, Independent and Specialist Education schools. This means I can provide you with a unbiased opinion focused solely on the client making positive changes.

I am highly experienced in specific learning styles and additional learning needs such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Trauma among some, yet still understand each individuals story is different. Holding a Level 3 in Children and Safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSL) Safeguarding my clients is of great importance to me. I hold a BA honours in Professional Practice, and completing my Master's in Psychology.

Throughout my career I have supported students along with their families from in the classroom and out in the local authority in both the Autism Spectrum and Early Help Assessment Team: where I would work with schools and teams around the child to ensure children and young people are able to access education including local offers for those students wanting to disenroll from school settings to home education.

Ever since having my own 3 children (25, 23 & 8) I knew I was inspired to work with children, and that's when my education career began. Interest and personal reasons made me follow a career in specialised education and that is why I believe I am passionate to help, I pride myself on creating good rapports with families.
